A Little Shoe Insert Can Solve Big Problems
Did you know that problems with your feet can affect the rest of your body? It’s surprising but true. Foot pain can affect your joints, especially your knees, and can also cause back and neck tension. It can even cause the discs in your spine to slip out of place. Many people who suffer from back and knee pain don’t even realize that their feet could be the cause of the problem, and instead rely on pain medication and expensive procedures to relieve their pain. At worst, some may resort to surgery to fix their problems, which is dangerous and expensive. What if little shoe inserts could fix their back pain? It can, and I’ll tell you why.
When your balance is off, it can make your body over compensate, and that can lead to muscle tension and back and neck pain. It’s common for one side of the body to be slightly longer than the other. If this is as little as an inch off, serious back problems can ensue. A shoe insert can help restore the balance and ease the strain in your back and neck.
Shoe inserts are widely available at retail stores or online, and are not usually customized to fit your foot. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes to get a good fit, but they are not meant to conform exactly to the shape of your foot. Because they are not customized, they are usually cheaper than orthotics, but will not last as long or work as well. There are some fantastic customized Arch Supports available online for less than the expensive orthotics your doctor can order.
