Swollen hand? What to do? Help?
My friend's hand is swollen, just one. His fingertips mainly, they're a little red, and numb. He can feel the pulse in his fingers really well, and b/c of the size he has a hard time moving his fingers. He just ate chicken and rice... no allergen there.. hasn't been bitten... WebMD tells me some weird conditions, I don't think it is a big deal, but it'd be nice if it can be treated.
P.S. Tried putting ice - didn't make a difference
Wash hands really well with soap and water. Maybe he touched something he's allergic to. Is he feeling OK? Elevate the hand, keep up with the ice. If it gets worse, or he starts feeling queasy, or has trouble catching his breath, go to doc asap.
