Psoriasis Chronic Disease for Life
Psoriasis has a predictable course; each case has its own course. It is a chronic disease for life and the patient must learn to cope adequately with the disease, control it in order to live your life normally.
Psoriasis is a genetic skin disease autoimmune, means itchy rash. I am having an EMG done. Should I take my usual pain medicines or will it interfere with the test?
Also should I take someone with me to drive and can this someone come into the exam room with me? Do I have to disrobe? My pain is in cervical and lumbar/sacral portion of spine with numbness in left arm/hand and left leg/foot.
You can take someone with you if you like. There is no anesthesia employed in the test. Having someone with you is up to the doctor. You are going to have to disrobe to your underwear. You can wear a gown during the test if you feel it is necessary. I am sure that your doctor has explained to you that the test is in two parts. The first is a nerve conduction test and the second is a test to see what is the electrical activity in the muscles.
