Pain is the way the body signals or indicates through an unpleasant emotional experience when any of its organs, tissues, or blood vessels is injured, damaged, skewed, or simply wrong, and pain relief involves the measures that are used to relieve pain and enhance the quality of life of those people suffering from pain. Other ailments and conditions that lead to pain are vascular diseases, Raynaud's Disease, Trigeminal Neuralgia, depression, spinal cord injury, spasticity, and pelvic pain.
A variety of treatment options are available to relieve pain depending upon its nature as well as the disease or condition that causes it, and most prominent among the pain relief options are medications, injection treatments, physical therapy, relaxation, and surgery. Included in the medications are medications are pain killers, anti-inflammatory drugs for the reduction of irritation or swelling that causes pain, antidepressants to treat depression, and anti-seizure medicines that help to alleviate pain in damaged nerves.
In the case of injection treatments, medicines with or without cortisones may injected into joints or around nerves to relieve pain caused due to swelling, muscle spasm, irritation, or abnormal nerve transmissions. When it comes to physical therapy, it involves options like exercise, ultrasound, whirlpool, and massage. Further, surgery is recommended when the condition causing pain is severe and requires further care. Above all, a number of other treatment facilities are available to relieve pain in the form of natural pain relievers, acupuncture, manipulation, and electrical stimulation.

Oh for gods' sakes, they don't give you a little gold star at the end if you didn't use drugs. The pain is unbelievable. Don't be a fool. Have an epidural. Why go through that?
