Emt Training And Job Prospects In California
The EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification requires candidates to attend an appropriate, official emergency medical technician training program and pass two exams: one theoretical and one practical examination. Candidates to the EMT certification can enroll in training programs anywhere across the country, and can choose among a wide range of specialized, accredited EMT training-offering educational institutions. However, the duration and the exact type of emergency medical technician training program required for obtaining the EMT certification are decided by each State individually. I'm an EMT and I prfer the nitrle or the safety plus latex (blue) as it is 15 mil thick....
After many years of Latex gloves I have developed a really bad allergy that hurts! And burns.
So my choice is now Nitrle Blue.
It's stopped the burning and pain but makes it very difficult when I have to do aseptic procedures. Most sterile gloves contain Latex or powder.
I am allergic to the powder in gloves as well.
It is a bit of a nightmare for Nursing staff when I'm the patient.
Ambulance Officers (Paramedics)here in Australia tend to use the Nitrle Blue so at least I'm safe there. For now.
Keep away from the Latex as much as you can.
