What Causes Knee joint pain?
Pain in the knee joint is a common complaint that many people have and be caused by many different factors. One of the main causes of leg and knee pain is a biomechanical imbalance known as foot overpronation. What Else Causes Flat Feet Overpronation?
This condition is commonly caused by heredity and the positioning of the feet while a child is in the mother’s uterus. It will tend to deteriorate as a person gets older because the parts of the knee become very weak. as the foot becomes used to the loosened state of these tissues, the inner ankle bone becomes very prominent. As the foot muscles accommodate this irregular alignment, the person will find that they have an extremely elastic and flat foot. A number of external signs of this ailment can be extreme wear and tear on the interior soles of shoes, a poor Foot Arch and also Morton’s toe. Morton’s toe is a ailment, where the big toe is shorter than the second toe and can cause the foot to turn inward.

Is it safe to purchase online custom orthotic shoe inserts?
My doctor wants $350 for custom orthotics and they aren't covered by my insurance! I can find them much cheaper online, where they ship you the foam impression kit. Would orthotics purchased online be as effective as the ones I would get from my doctor?

The way they do it online is that they send you a kit to take a foam mold of your feet for fitting purposes.
You need to be professionally fitted. Pedorthists I know send their work away, but when it comes back, it needs adjustment to make it work for you. Do you have the lab facilities at home to modify an orthotic for you so that it will work? If so, then go for it. Otherwise, don't bother with them! Look at other options and see if Superfeet would work for you. They need some modification, but they will not be $350!
