Pull Over
In your area, is it polite to pull your car over when a funeral procession is passing?
I've recently moved from Georgia to Virginia. I have never seen more people who do NOT pull over when a procession is passing on the road. It is extremely rude and disrespectful in other places. If you are a Virginian, please explain this thinking to me.
Danny, no I'm not talking about smaller towns but not necessarily the interstate either. I am speaking of side roads where one is able to pull over to show respect. It's unfortunate that the respect is fading.
I'm not a Virginian, but I've visited there. I've lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida and in all of these places it is customary to allow a funeral procession to have the right of way. Good manners are always in style and you are correct to show respect.
