I am going on a camping float trip and want to take jello shots. How do I keep them cold for the 2nd day?
I don't know if ice will keep them cold enough. I already bought some reusable ice packs to try, but I want to make sure that the shots stay gelled for the float. I will need to keep them cold for over 24 hours. Any ideas? Serious answers please.
get a waterproof bag from any outdoors store (aprox 25-30 bucks). get freezable gel packs and stuff them in around the shots and toss it over the side of the boat or tube or whatever you are floating in. ! do remember to tie it to the boat!
i do river trips all the time and that is how i keep food fresh and cold, be it beer or beef tenderloin. i have taken week long trips with no problem. be sure to put saran wrap or something like it over the shots so they do not fall out of the little cups.
