When putting a rail across the top of a chain link fence, how I attach it to either side of the posts?
I am not using the caps for the rail, I am using the cup pieces that attach to the post. How can I use these pieces on either side of a post and keep the rail at the same level. Are there double sided cups for this. A lot of detail and links to any pictures or instructions would be helpful. I will sekect a best answer. Thanks.
There are double sided CAPS that slide onto the top of the post, and have another "cup" at a 45* angle that accepts the top rail. These can be found at Home Depot or Lowes... I'm a little confused about the leveling, I assume that you would ensure that each post is the same height as the next, which will take care of the leveling. Of course you could attach a string at the top of the first post, and then join that string to the top of the last post. Then adjust all of the posts between so that the top of each post is touching the string.
