pain in fibula after a race?
i've been having trouble with my legs this cross country season (my junior year), but nothing i couldn't run through. i went to the sports physician a couple weeks ago for calf soreness and got insoles for my training shoes and stretching tips, which work for about 2 miles then my calves start cramping up again. i ran a 5k invitational yesterday and as usual, my calves cramped, but when i got home, the bone on the outside of my shin started to hurt and it still does today. i don't think it's possible to develop a fibular stress fracture that quickly, but i want to make sure it's nothing too serious that would prevent from performing well this season. please help, thanks!
maybe it could be shin splints... use the rice method... rest, ice, compression, elevation. good luck!
