Different Types of Shower seal strips
Not many of us are aware of the concept of shower seal strip and would be at a loss to do anything on our own with regard to this activity. This article is an attempt to acquaint you with the different aspects of a shower door seal.
The one problem that people face constantly with glass shower doors is the problem of leakage of water. Irrespective of whether the shower door is a sliding one or a bypass type, water invariably seeps through the door frame each time the door is used. This can result in the formation of dampness that remains consistently and can damage the door joint in addition to the floorboard and plaster. You would then have to pay a significant amount to rectify the problem.
A better way is to go for specific types of shower seal strip. They come in the form of sealing strips and these shower sealing strips effectively closes the gap that is always present amid the panels of the shower door. These shower sealing strips are usually made of PVC or EVA ensuring that they are Water Proof and can be molded to fit into the glass edges and positioned such that they function as holders of water inside the shower enclosure with little possibility of the water leaking outside the door and on to the floor.
The shower sealing strips can be made out of foam, vinyl or rubber and among all these; the PVC is the material that is most preferred. The reason is it is not very visible and seems to blend into the enclosure. It is highly durable and easy to install. It does not make the shower enclosure look odd and yet serves its function pretty effectively.
With regard to the types of seals, there are many and each has their own application. They can be used either for a single purpose or for a combination.
The shower door wipe is another sealing strip that is attached to the bottom part of a shower door such that each time the door swings, the seal strip moves along with it and does not allow the water to leak outside.
Another type is the shower door threshold rubber strip which when fastened to the shower tray prevents the water from escaping the sides or from the bottom of the door and is retained inside allowing it to drip back into the tray. These work better with door wipes and the effect is more pronounced.
You can also have a shower door shoe made out of plastic or rubber that is adhered to the bottom of the door to act as a seal and prevent leakage of water.
As you would have seen from the above, there are different shower seals and sealing strips suiting different purposes. If the gap is a bigger one, then it is advisable to go for a combination of the door threshold and door seal.

Is it okay to use teeth whitening strips more than once a day?
I'm currently using Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal and am about 3 days into it. You are supposed to use them once a day for 14 days, 30 minutes a day. I was just wondering if I could use one in the morning and one in the evening/night to help speed up the results. So far I haven't had any of the sensitivity that the box said might happen.
It's not too bad, you just have a higher chance of getting very sensitive teeth. I'm sure it'll be fine.
